Back to grinding and Pokemanz for a short while. 8D
I haven’t played this in a while, so I kind of forgot what I was doing and just headed in the direction of Victory Road. Heh, the rival took me by surprise, but TWAS NO MATCH FOR MEEEEE.
Doodle used Ice Beam and landed a critical hit on his Pidgeot. Another Ice Beam wiped out his Rhyhorn (WHY HASN’T HE EVOLVED IT? IT’S LIKE LEVEL 45). I swapped in Daiquiri for his Growlithe (srsly evolve ur week pokeymanz) and used Surf. Swapped back to Doodle to Ice Beam his Exeggcute, then switched to Bao to Body Slam his Alakazam. It attacked me first with Psychic, but MEH BAO TOOK IT LIKE A MAN and landed a critical hit in retaliation. Then switched to Mille and used Thunderbolt on his Blastoise. Blah, didn’t OHKO it and it hit Mille with a critical Bite.
Eh, not too big of a problem - almost everything was a OHKO. Hehehe.

OKAY I PROMISE I’LL GO STUDY AFTER THIS HAHAHA I SUCK. Anyway, I didn’t feel like grinding so I just went straight to Viridian after Blaine.
I sent out Doodle first, since for some strange, unknown reason, Ice is good against Ground and Doodle has a nice Ice Beam. He OHKO’ed his Rhyhorn and Dugtrio. It took two Ice Beams to take down his Nidoqueen, which instead of attacking Giovanni chose to use Guard Spec. I don’t even remember what that does ‘cause I never use those items. Anyway, same thing happened for the Nidoking except it used Tackle. Who still uses Tackle. His last Pokemanz, Rhydon, also took two Ice Beams to kill and all it did was Stomp Doodle.
This wasn’t very difficult either. HAVE I BEEN OVERESTIMATING THESE GYMS!?
Heh, Giovanni says that he’ll go “study Pokemanz” or something and vanishes.

Easy peasy lemon squeezie. Daiquiri OHKO’ed the Growlithe and Ponyta. His Rapidash was faster, so Daiquiri got wrapped up in two Fire Spins for a short while… but then for some reason Daiquiri moved first and got a Surf in. His Arcanine was faster too, but it only used Ember and Daiquiri retaliated with a Surf. OHKOs!
Vs. Blaine!!!
This was super easy, as all the pokemon in this gym were fire types.
Mainly used as a lvl booster for my Vaporeon.
Blaine was kinda weird though.
When he sent out his Rapidash and Arcanine,
both had higher speeds than my Vaporeon.
So when he tried to use “Super Potion” as a defense mechanism,
he actually used it BEFORE I attacked, when his two pokemon
were at full HP. o __ o;
One hit KOs everywhere :V
I went to the Power Plant ‘cause I wanted to get TM 25 (Thunder) and caught Zapdos while I was at it. DOODLE NEARLY DIED AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN SAD BECAUSE I ONLY WANTED THUNDER TO TEACH IT TO HIM.
Midterms? What are midterms?

After a lot of grinding (and evolving Marble into a Rhydon!)… LET’S GO.
Uh. His Pokemanz were like almost ten levels below mine. Marble OHKO’ed everything (2 Koffings, Muk, and Weezing) with Dig. Why did I even bother grinding. I thought he’d be higher level. Wasn’t he supposed to have a Venomoth? I was training for that too. Oh. Maybe that was only in Yellow. HEHHH.
Whoops.
Why can Rhyhorn learn Surf.
Now that’s just weird.
I’m tempted to teach it Surf now just because I can.
WOW THAT WAS SUPER-LUCKY.
CAUGHT A RHYHORN IN AREA 2 OF THE SAFARI ZONE JUST WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR. WHO NEEDS CHANSEY WHEN YOU CAN HAVE A RHYDON.
GOODBYE, TOULOUSE THE DUGTRIO YOU HAVE BEEN REPLACED.

And here we go!
She started off with Kadabra, and I started with Bao, my Snorlax. It hit me first with Psybeam (to be expected), but Bao criticaled with a Body Slam. I switched over to Paprika for her Mr. Mime, and Slashed it twice. Switched over to Daiquiri for the Venomoth and used Psychic twice even after it paralyzed me.
Eh, for the Alakazam, I wasn’t sure what to choose, so I just stuck with Daiquiri and spammed Body Slam. He snuck in a critical hit after it set up Reflect and got hit by Psybeam. YAY!
I need to catch up.
